Christmas in NC

One evening while we were in North Carolina we went to go look at lights. Steph and Chad took us to this place where they have a restaurant and then they decorate their woods with lights. It is also a Christmas tree farm. You have to wait in line for a while, but it was worth it. We rode on a hayride to watch the lights. While on the hayride they played Christmas music. It was really a lot of fun. It was chilly that night, so it made it really feel like Christmas.

North Carolina Trip!

Last week Layne, Jayce and I all went to North Carolina to visit Layne's sister and her family. Layne's sister was graduating from college and we got to celebrate Christmas with her family. I really enjoy visiting them and can't wait until they move closer to us!!!

So to go to North Carolina we had to fly on a plane! So Jayce got to ride on a plane for the first time. The sad part was that I was not there to see it. I had to fly out a day later than them and come back two days earlier since I had to work. So my wonderful husband captured some pictures to show me how he did. Layne said that Jayce did great on the plane!!!

Like I said, while we were there Layne's sister graduated from East Carolina University. We are so proud of her to make it through college!!! She's such a great mom and such a hard worker that she was determined to complete college. Her last semester was even her best one!! GO STEPH! Here are some photo's of the recent graduate.

Happy Birthday Hubby!!

My amazing husband is 27 today. I am such a lucky woman to be married to a such a wonderful man. We have been together for almost 9 years and they have been wonderful!! Layne is truly my soul mate. He knows me like no one else. He takes such good care of our family and is an amazing man of God. He is such a hard worker for our family. He is the best Dad to our sweet baby boy. He is such a blessing to me. He works from home AND takes care of our 10 month old son. I just don't know how he does it. He finds the time to get everything he needs to get done and manage to raise our child. He is doing such a great job also!!

So tonight we went out to dinner with our families. Layne's parents as well as my parents and brother along with his girlfriend all went to Brio for some great food. We are so blessed to have such great parents who live so close to us. We are also blessed that our parents enjoy being with each other's families. I wouldn't know what to do without our families so close to us!! I didn't get to snap any pictures tonight, but everyone knows what we look like. So on that note----HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!!! I love you a bunch and am so glad that you chose me. You are truly a blessing to me. You are amazing and I couldn't have a better life with you. Thanks for all you do for our family.

Woohoo--Snow in Texas!!

So everyone knows that Texas has some weird weather and we SURE do!!! Tuesday it was like 70 degrees or so and Wednesday it went down to the 30's. So strange!! And then to top it off it SNOWED!!!! We haven't seen snow in so long it was strange to see it. So Jayce loved the snow!! We put him in the grass and he got so upset when we decided to take him inside. Silly boy. Here's some pictures of our wonderful snow day!
