Air Show

Last weekend we were blessed to get tickets to the Houston Airshow from Layne's parents.  Jayce LOVES airplanes and so we thought that this would be perfect for him!! I hadn't been since I was a kid, so it was neat for me too.  Ryleigh didn't care to much about it, but I'm sure she had a good time too.

Saturday morning Jayce woke up around 4am with a slight fever.  I gave him some tylenol and then sent him back to bed, not thinking much of it. When he got up around 7 that morning he seemed fine. So off we went to Ellington Field. The morning went great.  He was so amazed with all the airplanes and everything around him.  He wanted to see everything. He loved going inside the "BIG" airplane.  Everything was going great until lunch time hit.  While we were getting food at lunch, all the sudden our spunky little boy turned into a mopy, sleepy, HOT little boy.  He didn't want any lunch.  All he wanted was his binky, to sit in the stroller so that he could go to sleep.  I felt his head and he was burning up.  All I had was infant tylenol, so that is what he got.  It brought his fever down a little bit, but for the rest of the day he was just blah. We stayed a little longer so that we could see some of the jets and to get him a toy airplane.  He spunked up a little to pick out a cool new airplane. Turns out he had a cold.  He ran fever all day Sunday and then a little bit on Monday. Sheesh, what a way to spend your day not feeling well, but he sure was a trooper!

Get me out of this stroller!!!!

Wow! This is the inside of an airplane!?

My boy, loving all the super cool airplanes around us!!

Not feeling well.....but keeping his ear plugs in. :)
 Ryleigh.....are we done yet?!
My new airplane makes everything better!

Pumpkin Painting

Last weekend when the kids were under the weather we decided to do some perking up by painting pumpkins. It was a complete success! They loved it and did a great job! Jayce kept asking for more blue, and so his pumpkin is a mixture of all his colors.  Ryleigh liked painting hers as well as herself :) It was a lot of fun!!

Happy Halloween!!!

My Two Pumpkins

A friend of mine did this with her son and I thought it was so super cute! The other afternoon, everyone was grumpy and not feeling very well, so we decided to go outside and do some painting.  Today we decided to paint our butts and make pumpkins from them.  They turned out very cute and the kids thought it was cool too.  Jayce ripped off his diaper when I told him I was going to paint his butt.  He thought it was hilarious to have that paint on his behind. :) Ryleigh didn't mind it too much, but she probably wouldn't have minded if she didn't have it on her butt. Enjoy my two pumpkins.

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend, we got to take our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.  I was very excited for this year because Ryleigh was old enough to have fun and to get good pics of.   The kids loved all the pumpkins and climbing all over them. It was perfect for Jayce because the previous week at school he had been learning about pumpkins and the color orange.  This year also is our first year with our awesome new camera.  Layne did some side jobs and with it we got us a Cannon.  Layne uses it for work, so it's our personal/work camera.  But it sure takes GREAT pics!!! Get ready for picture overload....this is only like 1/4 of the pics that we took that day. :)

I hope everyone is enjoying their Fall.  Happy Halloween!!

Face Painting

Several weeks ago we went to the Wine Festival in Montgomery, TX.  I'm so behind on blogging, that I'm just now getting this done. It was a lot of fun! This was the first time that Layne and I had ever gone to something like it.  There were like 20 different winery's from the Texas area.  You could taste 5 different wines.  My parents were with us, and my mom doesn't like wine, so my dad and I split her tickets.  It was neat to taste all the different types of wines from places in Texas. I think my favorite was a winery outside of Beaumont.  They made all there wines from fruits.  They make pear, peach, mixed berry, strawberry, and a bunch of other types of fruit wines.  I was very impressed with how they tasted.  While we were there, Jayce got to get his face painted.  This was the first time for him.  He did GREAT!!! He sat sooo still. When he was done, he liked showing it off I think.  He was dancing every where he went. It was so funny!!! What a great experience for us all!!
