Uncle Jeff and Jayce by the neighborhood egg hunt

On Easter weekend, we had a busy weekend. Friday I had the day off so we spent it together as a family. It was nice just to be able to relax and spend time with my boys. Saturday we got up early and went over to Layne's mom's house. Her neighborhood was having a carnival/easter egg hunt and so we thought that it would be fun for Jayce. It was supposed to start at 10 and we thought that the egg hunt started at 10. WELL--we were wrong! The egg hunt didn't start until 11:20 and it was WAY past Jayce's nap time. So we stayed for a little bit so that he could play, but then we left. Jayce was not going to wait that long. We decided to make our own egg hunt at Nana's house, which I think went much better. Since Jayce had never hunted eggs before, he didn't really know what it all entailed. We had to teach him how to get the eggs and put them in his easter basket. He thought that it was so neat that they made noise and wanted to know what was inside them. He had to open each one before going on to find another one. It was very cute and fun for us.
