Last weekend was a very interesting one. We haven't really had a very cold winter here in Maryland from what I'm told by everyone here. So most winter the temps have been in the 40's or 50's. It has snowed a couple times but nothing to much fun. The weekend of Jayce's birthday it snowed, but there was barely enough to throw a couple snowballs. Jayce thought it was cool, but not as cool as this weekend! On Sunday night we had heard that we were going to be expecting 1-3 inches of snow. It had started snowing around 4:30 Sunday afternoon and ended up snowing most of the night. So when we got up we definitely had about 3 or so inches of snow. The kids were soooo excited!!! We had borrowed a couple sleds a couple days prior to take the kids sledding at a ski resort so it was fun that we had those to play with too. Our backyard is sloped some so this preggo mama had to pull the kids down the hill and back up the hill. It was quite the workout and after about 20 or so minutes of doing that I had to take a long break. So I showed the kids how to make snow angels and what snow was okay to eat. They thought that it was soo cool to eat! I'm mad at myself for not thinking of making them snow cones! UGH they would have loved that! We also made a snowman. That was tough work too for me, but I toughed it out :) And to finish off our snowman, Uncle Jeff and Caitlin sent the kids snowmen kits. It totally completed our snowman and the kids were so excited to use them!!

They don't look too happy here, but the sun was in their eyes and they didn't like that at all. HA!
This was Ryleigh's favorite part! She asked me to pull her like what seemed to be a million times!
Throwing snowballs. We didn't have any gloves for Jayce that were waterproof and he didn't care! He used knit gloves all morning. They were soaking wet and his hands were cold, but it was all for FUN!
My snow angels making snow angels! :)
They were VERY proud and excited about making their very first SNOWMAN!! I have to say that they (we) did a great job :)
These were our sledding tracks. And yes, this mommy who was at that time 38 weeks pregnant ran them up and down the hill! All for the sacrifice of FUN with my kiddos!
This boy LOVED to eat the snow! He LOVED playing in the snow! He loved everything about the snow! This is one of the reasons we were really looking forward to living up here! Letting the kids have the fun experience of playing in the snow!
