A couple weekends ago we decided to take the kids to a ski resort and try to take them sledding. Not really a surprise, since the states up here have had a pretty warm winter, but there wasn't any snow on the ground except for the snow that the resort was making! HA! So, instead of sledding we took the kids snow tubing. We drove to Massanutten, VA, which was about a 3 1/2 hour drive. We left Thursday afternoon after Layne got off work and drove about 2 hours and then went to hotwire.com to book a cheap hotel for the night. The drive from here to Culpeper, VA was absolutely beautiful! Layne and I already said that we would love to go back and check out the other things they have to offer. On our way from Culpeper to Massanutten we passed several wineries and lots of historical sites. Friday morning, we got up ate breakfast and then headed the rest of the way to Massanutten. We got there a little before 10 and decided to tube from 11-1. The kids had a blast!! After their tubing time was over we headed out. It was a quick trip, but really fun!
