This year was our first real Halloween as a family. Last year we didn't take Jayce trick or treating since he was so little, but this year we decided to take him to a fall festival. The church that Layne works at was doing a thing called "Trunk or Treat." They had about 200ish members/people from the church bring their cars and decorate. Then the kids could walk around from trunk to trunk and get candy. They also had lots of food and fun things for the kids to do. They had bouncies, a horse, and a hayride. There was probably other things, but we didn't make it to everything. Some of our community group came out there with us and we had a blast watching all the kids and their costumes. I also got to take Jayce trick or treating. He didn't really like it too much. He didn't like walking up to people he didn't know, and since he had never had candy before he didn't know what the big deal was. He just liked chilling with our community group and dancing to the music.

We really had a great time!!! I can't for next year when both kids will be trick or treating. I'm really surprised that Jayce doesn't ask for his candy, but he's not much of a sweets eater. I'm so glad too!!

How fun! That's such a great idea. The kids look so cute! Our girls started ripping into their candy the moment they got it. They loove their candy, just like their momma! Presley was so mad when we took hers away from her!
Oh man...Hadley keeps trying to steal the candy and cries when the pantry door is closed because she can't work on getting it. Be thankful he's not a sweet man. We had some other friends who went to the trunk or treat. YOu guys look so cute, and those kiddos are adorable as always. Minnie looks like she is getting bigger every time I see her.
I love the costumes!! Looks like you guys had a fun time!! That's awesome that Jayce doesn't really want the candy!! We had to take the candy away from Abigail & get rid of it so she wouldn't keep asking for it!!
