One week has flown by since our sweet girl has arrived. Things are going well, but they have been tough---I'm not going to lie. Jayce hasn't been adjusting well to not having his parents around for several days and now something new at home. Today has been the first day where things have seemed somewhat normal. Ryleigh is not a very quiet crier and if Jayce hears her while he's in bed he gets very upset. Its been hard trying to time feedings and his nap times so that he can get some good sleep. Ryleigh is also a slow nurser. She loves to take her time to eat. That doesn't go over well with a 16 month old running wild around the house.
On a happier note, we took Ryleigh to the doc yesterday and he said shelooks very healthy. She hasn't gained any weight since we left the hospital, so he wants us to come back in a week. I was very surprised that she hadn't gained any weight because I'm producing milk like crazy and she wants to eat ALL the time!! So she's currently 7 lbs 12 oz, 20 1/2inches long and doing well. She hates to have her diaper changed or to change clothes. She's been sleeping pretty well at night. She is definitely a little more high maintenance then Jayce was. She just knows that she is the princess and is already living like it.
