On Saturday we ventured into Philadelphia while we were up in New Jersey. Layne's mom had found this really awesome Children's Museum and so we started there. Wow, was it awesome!!! It was called the Please Touch Museum. It was two stories and filled with so much fun for the kids!! It had lots of discovery play and was completely geared towards toddlers/preschoolers! So for my kids that was perfect!!!! Here are some pictures from our trip to the museum.
Working out in the gym area.
Getting to play different types of instruments
Milking a cow
The room from Alice in Wonderland! They look huge in it :)
Planting veggies in the gardens
Dr. Jayce and Nurse Ryleigh
Having a tea party with the mad hatter and that bunny from Alice in Wonderland.
After the museum, we went into downtown Philadelphia. We tried to see Independence Hall, but all the tickets were sold out for the day. So we did get to see an original road from when our country started. Saw were the first Congress met and where the first president was sworn in and then we went to the Liberty Bell. I had never been there, so it was neat just to see where our country really began. Lots of history there....we seem to forget that DC isn't where it all started. Good reminder. :)
