Visiting Carlo's Bakery

While we were in New Jersey, my mom and I made an executive decision to go and visit Carlo's Bakery.  The bakery was about an hour away from the hotel and so there wasn't really a good excuse not go to :) We were hoping for no line....but it was a holiday weekend and a Sunday.  So we were out of luck.  We did have to wait in line, but it wasn't too bad.  Well, the line OUTSIDE wasn't too bad.  I seriously think that the bakery needs a new plan when it comes to allowing people inside the bakery.  They do give out numbers which is a great idea, but it takes them forever to serve each number.  And they allow way too many people into the bakery at once.  It is so packed, when they do call your number you can't even see the different display cases to pick out some goodies.  We probably waited 1 1/2 hours outside, but then once we got inside we waited probably another hour! It was crazy.  I was so glad to get out of there and so were the kids!! If we ever go back, we will have to go on a weekday when there's NO waiting.  When it was finally our turn, we picked out some cookies, pastries and cupcakes! They were so yummy!!
