So this was Jayce's FIRST Christmas and it sure was busy!! Two days before Christmas I had to take Jayce to the doctor because he was running a 101.5 degree fever. We found out that he had his first ear infection. We were hoping that by Christmas he would feel better, but we found out that his antibiotic was not strong enough and it wasn't helping much. We spent Christmas eve eve with Layne's parents and opened presents with them. Then Christmas eve day we went over to Layne's grandparents house on his dad's side of the family. We spent the afternoon/evening there and visited with family. This might be the last Christmas that we spend with his dad's side of the family because his grandmother has stage 3 Alzheimer's disease. We don't think that she even knew that it was Christmas. Then that night we went to my parents and spent the night with them. That's where Santa came to visit Jayce. My mom has a tradition of making stockings for everyone in the family. This year she got to make Jayce's. They are so special because they are so unique. So Christmas morning we opened presents at my parents house and then ate breakfast. That afternoon we headed out again. This time we were on our way to Layne's mom's side of the family's house--Layne's aunts house. This is where we ate dinner and opened more presents. Jayce was so sick and didn't want to do anything but sit with Mommy or Daddy. We didn't get many pictures this year since he was not feeling well.
So that's about it. It was very busy, but we got to see lots of family that we don't always see. It was nice. I sure am glad that we are finally home for a while though. Home is just so nice. Here are a couple of pictures of Jayce on Christmas morning.
