On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, Nana took me and the kids to Moody Gardens in Galveston. We'd never been and so it was a nice treat! The kids were SUPER excited. We got there at about lunch time on Tuesday, just as it was finishing up raining. It was like perfect timing! And since it had just rained, it was a little bit cooler. The first thing the kids wanted to do was see Dora and Diego in 4D. They LOVED it!!!! Ryleigh was a bit confused on how to use her glasses, but after the show started and I held them on her face, she got the idea. It was cute. Kids loved that they got squirt with water and blown with air when we were flying through the jungle. We also walked through the Aquarium where we saw so many different cool fish! We also got to see seals, penguins, sharks, sea turtles, and lots lots more! I think that was the coolest part for the kids.....until we got to the dinosaurs! Jayce wanted to see the dinosaurs soooooo bad!!!! When we got there he was a little scared. They looked pretty real. They moved and roared....so he was a bit scared that they were going to get him. But once we were in there for a while and I showed him that they didn't move from their spot, he warmed up to them. After that we spent some time at Palm Beach. They had a wave pool, lots of fun water things for the kids and a lazy river. They also had a beach area and the kids of course had to dig and play in the sand. A great busy day!
Wednesday, we started the day trying to see Sunny the Penguin, but to our surprise we got to see Dora instead. Ryleigh was very pleased! After seeing Dora, the kids of course wanted to see the Dora and Diego 4D movie again. So off we went! It was already pretty hot outside, so after seeing the Dora movie we went to the Rainforest. The kids really liked the Rainforest as well. We got to see some cool butterflies, monkeys, parrots, alligators, bugs, snakes and lots more! Moody Gardens had lot of 3D movies and Jayce was set on watching the dinosaurs movie. So we went to go see one around 12:45....well it wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be and I'm pretty sure he was bummed about how BORING it was. He fell asleep not too long after it started. So to make up for not seeing all the cool dinosaurs he thought he was going to see....we went back to the dinosaur exhibit. This time he wasn't scared at all. It was fun watching both Jayce and Ryleigh roar at the dinosaurs! It was a great trip, but I was beat and ready to be home! Thanks Nana for two great days of play and fun!!!
